📖 Lesson

A Day in London

Read the following story carefully.

Sarah woke up early on Saturday morning. She was very excited because she was going to London for the first time. She had her breakfast quickly — just toast and orange juice — and caught the 8 o'clock train from her village.

The journey took about an hour. When Sarah arrived at Paddington station, she was amazed by how busy it was. Thousands of people were rushing in every direction.

Her first stop was the British Museum. She spent two hours looking at ancient Egyptian mummies and Greek statues. "This is incredible," she thought.

For lunch, she found a small café near Covent Garden and ordered fish and chips — a classic English meal. In the afternoon, she walked along the Thames and took photos of the famous Tower Bridge.

By the time she caught her train home, her feet hurt and her phone was full of photos. But Sarah was already thinking about her next visit.
